A compilation of documents from 1730-1735 relating to maritime and trading relations between Spain and Great Britain, especially business concerning the South Sea Company. Many of the documents involve Sir Benjamin Keene, who served simultaneously as British Minister to Spain and as agent for the South Sea Company. Other names which occur frequently on the list are Thomas Pelham-Holles, William Stanhope, and Charles Townshend.

Charles Viscount Townshend (1674-1738) was Secretary for the Northern department, the seat of the Jacobite trouble. James 1st Earl Stanhope (1673-1721) was a statesman who also took a leading part in securing the Hanoverian succession. John Erskine, 6th or 11th Earl of Mar (1675-1732) was a Jacobite leader.
